Monografie V barvách chorobných : Idea dekadence v českých zemích1880 a 1914, která vychází ke stejnojmenné výstavě v Obecním domě poprvé představuje a to i rámci evropského kontextu, specifickou část výtvarné umělecké scény ovlivněnou myšlenkami dekadence. Jedná se o umělce takového významu jako byli Max Pirner, Hanuš Schwaiger, Beneš Knupfer, Jakub Schikaneder, Františka Bílek, Karel Hlaváček, Max Švabinský, Alfons Mucha, Jan Preisler, František Kaván, Františka Kobliha, Jan Zrzavý, Josef Váchal a mnozí další. Fenomén dekadence je nahlížen třemi autory – Danielem Vojtěchem z filozofického a historického hlediska, Lubošem Merhautem z literárního a konečně editorem knihy Otto M. Urbanem z úhlu dějin umění. Monografie je ve své obrazové části členěna do 4 oddílů : Zachmuřený, zhýralý, morózní; Démon láska; Satanické halucinace a Očistec smrti, které jsou proloženy desítkami citátů a básní.
